Chances are you haven’t heard the wildly noisy garage band that Israel-spawned Yonatan Gat once played in (Monotonix), which dissolved in 2011 after six years together. Since then, Gat has been flexing his impressive guitar chops as a solo artist who was hailed as the Village Voice's "Best Guitarist of 2013." Currently, he's making intriguing avant garde rock with Afro, punk and surf flavors (he's described it as "homeless between the Middle East and New York"), joined by poly-rhythmic capable drummer Gal Lazer and low-end stroker Sergio Sayeg. If you can motivate on a Monday night, this show is definitely worth checking out.  Sonic Grafitti and Science open. 8 p.m. doors, New World Brewery, Ybor City, $10.

Check out some of his music below.
