A look at three shows happening this Tue., Oct. 27.

JR JR with Brothertiger They shucked the “Dale Earnhardt” and are now simply known as JR JR. But the Detroit indie electro-pop group co-led by Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein is as charming as ever and their songwriting sensibility just as infectious and danceable; “As Time Goes On” and “Gone”– the first two singles off their 2015 eponymous album show their buoyant sounds fully blooming in bright washes of synth hoots and whistles and bright washes of melody, danceable lowend grooves and beats, and tender-sweet lyrical refrains. Live, these guys are super fun and exuberant as proven at this year’s Gasparilla Music Festival, where they bopped around the stage in Miami Vice-vibing threads, wailed their little hearts out and got everyone shimmying and shaking along. (State Theatre, St. Petersburg)

Bronze Radio Return with The Roosevelts/, The Tattered Saints Connecticut sextet Bronze Radio Return hit town on tour behind a brand new fourth LP, Light Me Up, that shifts gears slightly, infusing heavier dance-grooving vibes and cinematic-lush key tones and texture into their infectious melody-drenched roots rock. Tour support from Nashville twang-pop outfit The Roosevelts. (Crowbar, Ybor City)

Pre-Pre-Fest Party with Safety, Nude Tayne, EGOS The big ol’ Ybor City Pre-Fest event that’s now the official launch into the even bigger Gainesville-brewed main event (Fest 14) now has its own pre-pre shindiggy. It’s the party before the party that comes before the party. Get it? Headlining is Brooklyn-based indie punk-noise trio Safety, actually on their way to Fest behind a new driving and howling five-song EP, Congratulate Me, I've Lost My Mind. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)
