It’s the actual date of Fat Tuesday, aka Mardis Gras. Even though we’re about 650 miles away from the Crescent City’s annual parade extravaganza, that won’t stop us from throwing a party in its honor. WMNF brings in the big guns for this Skipperdome show: Royal Southern Brotherhood, a band that finds New Orleans percussion icon Cyril Neville (brother to Art, Aaron, Ivan and Charles, member of The Meters and Neville Brothers) teaming up with guitarist Devon Allman (son of Gregg, leader of Honeytribe) to lay down a Southern rock-fried mix of funk, blues, hard rock and reggae; they’re joined by guitar player Bart Walker, bassist Charlie Wooton and drummer Yonrico Scott. Candye Kane opens. 8 p.m., Skipper's Smokehouse, Tampa, $20.
