I can't admit to being more than a passing fan of the man, but I can appreciate his undeniable impact on modern rock n' roll and I am almost as excited about the announcement of Elvis Costello's new solo North American "DETOUR" landing in Clearwater as I am sure his actual diehards are. Seems to solidify Tampa Bay's place on the map as a worthy tour stop. Even more exciting, he's actually playing four dates in Florida, so those folks who really want to get a full-on dose of the British singer-songwriter's idiosyncratic flair have multiple opportunities to do so.
No venue confirmed yet, but I'm thinking it's at Ruth Eckerd Hall even though it hasn't actually been announced on its site yet. The tour starts March 1, 2015; Clearwater date is March 16. Full schedule below along with on-sale dates for each city...
