People’s Blues of Richmond with Y Los Dos Pistoles In case you don’t party hard enough on Crowbar’s signature All Good Tuesdays (who are we kidding?), Crowbar beefed up the menu night with appearances by two high-octane bands. The sneakily named People’s Blues of Richmond defy expectations by layering dejected howling on top of frenziedly composed instrumentals. Local quartet Y Los Dos Pistoles opens the night, and All Good Tuesdays throws down as planned afterwards with Soft Rock Renegades. (Crowbar, Ybor City) —Cody Smith
Betty Lou Fox Weekly Series: Matt Woods “Some folks call what I do ‘Outlaw Country’ or ‘Americana,’ but I have a hard time putting a label on things like that,” says Knoxville-based singer-songwriter Matt Woods. From simplistic acoustic cuts to celebrative gospel-inspired tracks, Woods holds true to this statement while carrying his humble southern Tennessee vibe with him. His newest album With Love From Brushy Mountain has a great country twang to it and his soulful voice leaves you feeling “As drunk as George Jones.” Betty fox performs an acoustic set to kick off the night's music. 8-10 p.m., Ale and the Witch, St. Petersburg. —Jackie Braje
Stickup Kid and Seaway with Candy Hearts, Driver Friendly San Jose, Calif. quintet Stickup Kid is signed to Adeline Records, their heavier alt-rock crunch and galloping rhythmic drive balanced by sweet nasally vocal harmonies. Seaway brings Canadian pop-punk charm to the summer tour. Both back brand-new albums, the former Future Fire, the latter a debut, Hoser. (Epic Problem, Tampa) —Leilani Polk
