It’s the end of the week, which means it's time to get your groove on. The ongoing listening series otherwise known as The Well-Played List features the most listened-to, jammed-out songs, albums and artists of the week as submitted by the CL Music Team along with a rotating crew of tastemakers — local music promoters, record store and venue owners, music fans and scenesters, DJs, musicians, and a radio personality or two; check the past several week’s worth right here. Audio and video included, along with any applicable show information. And on that note, what are you jamming this week? Tell us in the comments…

LEILANI
Nirvana, Nevermind(1991) Sometimes, you just need some grunge in your life, and nostalgia, and Kurt, all gruff and youthful and not yet completely drained by life.

Got a Girl, "Did We Live Too Fast" and "There's A Revolution"(on forthcoming I Love You But I Must Drive Off This Cliff Now, out on Bulk Recordings July 22, 2014)
I am obsessed with all things Dan the Automator. Pretty much anything he does, I like. His latest project with Elizabeth Winstead, Got a Girl, seems to be no exception, based on the tracks that have been released so far. They combined their shared love of 1960s French pop, girl group soul, slinky lounge music and a nice sense of cinematic drama. Check out "Did We Live Too Fast" after the jump...

JULIE G.
The Vaselines, "One Lost Year" (2014) A one-time Kurt Cobain favorite — the late Nirvana frontman covered three of their tunes — Glaswegian band The Vaselines are back with a new full-length this fall; V For Vaselines will be released through Rosary Music on October 7 in North America. Self-produced and recorded in their native Glasgow at Mogwai’s Castle Of Doom studio, the album was engineered by Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai). This is great news for anyone experiencing true-blue rock 'n' roll withdrawals, and the new track with its bouncy bass line can be enjoyed on Soundcloud now.

CODY SMITH, CL MUSIC INTERN
Marvin Gaye, What's Going On (1971)

Gold Panda, Trust EP (2013)

The War on Drugs, Lost in the Dream (2014)

JACKIE BRAJE, CL MUSIC INTERN
I keep falling back on Gardens & Villa's 2011 self-titled album for some reason. ALSO, "So Good at Being in Trouble" (2013) by Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The jam.

ANDREW SILVERSTEIN
Mac Demarco, Salad Days(2014) Salad Days' serene and off-kilter vibes remind me of an opiated late-'60s John Lennon, which I mean in the best way possible. "Goodbye Weekend" has this gorgeous little guitar break at 2:03 that's like an audible narcotic in itself. Perfect for these rainy, summer afternoons or anytime you just want to pull the shades and nod off to an album that's equally dreamy and delightful.

KRISTIN S. | NO CLUBS ENTERTAINMENT
That Magic! song "Rude" gets stuck in my head all the time. I've also been listening to Every Time I Die's new album From Parts Unknown. Really excited they'll be at Warped Tour this year. At least there will be a few good bands to see.

GABE ECHAZABAL
Lake Street Dive, Bad Self Portraits (2014)
Can’t get enough of this! The new full-length release of Massachusetts quartet Lake Street Dive is garnering rave reviews and looks like it might be the record that hoists the quirky indie band into the limelight once and for all. The band straddles the line cleverly between several different genres: smart jazz, bouncy pop, straight up folk, light soul or straight ahead rock ‘n roll. Lead vocalist Rachel Price is a powerhouse of soul and energy. She mixed the seductive rasp of Bonnie Raitt with the lovelorn warmth of Diana Krall and instantly draws in any listener within earshot. With any luck, Lake Street Dive’s fantastic fifth release will be the one to put them on the map and on the turntables of all discerning music lovers around the globe.
