A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Sea When Absent (Lefse)

Ab-Soul, These Days (Top Dawg)

The Babys, I'll Have Some of That (Skyrocket Ent./All In Time Records)
The ‘70s classic rock band behind “Isn’t It Time” and “Every Time I Think of You” return after three decades apart with a new record.

Ginger Baker, Why? (Motema Music)
Best known as the pounding drummer of 1960s classic rock Cream (with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce), Ginger Baker explores his love of African rhythms and jazz greats like Art Blakey, Max Roach and Elvin Jones with his first new album in 16 years, and a few years after 2012 documentary Beware of Mr. Baker.

Bassnectar, Noise vs. Beauty (Ingrooves)

Peter Matthew Bauer, Liberation! (Mexican Summer)
Another solo outing from a member of The Walkmen, this time bassist Peter Matthew Bauer. It's a little more raucous than the ones his bandmates have released, with a little Tom Petty twang and rock n' roll stomp. Listen to "Latin American Ficciones" below.

Black Bananas, Electric Brick Wall (Drag City)
Black Bananas — Jennifer Herrema, Nadav Eisenman, Brian McKinley and Kurt Midness — makes some really weird and loose, mind-warping indie music, a mish-mash of disparate musical elements that they've likened to "trance-bounce, new jack metal, dub-gum, rhythm-n-bus, nu country-psych-hop and glam-core." "Physical Emotions" is dance-floor glitch with fat zippy synths. Check the amusingly retro video after the jump...

Blood CeremonyLet it Come Down (Rise Above Records)

Deanna Bogart, Just A Wish Away (Blind Pig Records)

Sarah Borges, Radio Sweetheart (Lonesome Day)
Borges sees a re-release of her fourth album from her new label home.

Donovan BlancDonovan Blanc (Captured Tracks)
The sweetly soft, vintage-hued vocal harmonies of New Jersey duo Donovan Blanc (Joseph Fekete and Raymond Schwab) is set against easy grooving lightly yet lushly textured pop music. Check out first single "Minha Menina" after the jump...

Claire, The Great Escape (Astralwerks)
From the school of synth-driven pop music as led by a sultry-voiced frontwoman (in this case Josie Claire Bürkle) comes Munich-based five-piece Claire. This is their debut. Listen to "My Audacity" below.

Flashlights
, Bummer Summer (Hard Rock Records)

Ghostface Killah & Badbadnotgood, Six Degrees 10" (Lex)
Another intriguing production collab from Ghostface Killah, this time with Toronto jazz outfit Badbadnotgood. The title track features a verse from the always outrageously fun Danny Brown. Check it below.

How to Dress Well, What Is This Heart? (Alternative Distribution Alliance)

Kitten, Kitten (Elektra)

Ricardo Lemvo, La Rumba SoYo (Cumbancha)

Mastodon, Once More 'Round The Sun (Reprise)
Grammy-nominated hard rock and progressive metal heavyweights issue a sixth full-length focused on themes of loss and rebirth.

Phish, Fuego (JEMP)

Phox, Phox (Partisan)
Wisconsin imports another intriguing band, this one a folk pop six-piece led by the dulcet soulful intones of Monica Martin. The LP was recorded at April Base (Bon Iver's home studio) by Brian Joseph. Check out "Slow Motion" below.
