Joe Haskins was extremely proud of his name. So much so that in his youth, he wrote “Joe H” on the back of his garage. When his childhood home sold, new owners cut that piece of wood out, mounted it, and brought it to the bike shop that Haskins bought from his uncle, Anthony Arduengo, in 1960.
