"This Is a Trent Reznor Song" was released earlier this year by comedian Freddy Scott. His spoof of the relentlessly serious and dark artist looks at Reznor's stylistic tendencies (odd percussion, eerie pianos, vocals going from murmurs to screams), and has just been taken a step further with a hilarious video parody to accompany the song, obviously inspired by Reznor's own Lynchian visual style in "Closer."
Check out the video now for "This is a Trent Reznor Song" after the jump. It's almost as good as an actual Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails video and sounds like it, too. You might even forget what you're listening to, until one of the lyrics jump out at you ("This is a Trent Reznor song, sometimes it's very long, it could go on and on, but it's very awesome / This is a Trent Reznor song, yeah it's still going on, seriously it's the same song, but it's very awesome.")
