Posthardcore howler-turned-acoustic strummer Chuck Ragan will release his fourth solo full-length, Till Midnight, via Los Angeles label SideOneDummy on March 25. Rollingstone.com has already premiered the first single, "Non Typical."
[jump]Punk fans worldwide know Ragan from his impassioned performances as co-frontman (along with Chris Wollard) for Gainesville's own Hot Water Music. He's always dabbled in country-influenced fare on the side, however, and was one of the principals behind the development of the popular Revival Tour, a traveling showcase of singer-songwriters that draws heavily on folks who cut their teeth in the punk scene.
A few of Ragan's Revival Tour co-conspirators appear on the forthcoming Till Midnight, including Lucero's Ben Nichols; Drag the River's Chad Price and Jon Snodgrass; singer Dave Hause of The Loved Ones; and pedal steel player Todd Beene (Lucero, Glossary), among others. Social Distortion and former Suicidal Tendencies drummer David Hidalgo, Jr. is also in attendance, as well as a host of other guest and backing musicians.
