A new place to watch sporting events (or eat chicken wings and pretend like you’re watching) is slated to open in one of downtown Tampa’s most notable towers. As ThatssoTampa reported earlier this week, Top Shelf Sports Lounge will open on the bottom floor of the Truist Building at 401 E Jackson St. The 4,674-square-foot restaurant—which features an outdoor patio—will debut sometime in 2023. Known for its upscale bar food, weekly specials, cocktail program and brunch menu, Top Shelf is a culinary destination as well as a go-to place to watch your favorite Tampa Bay team play.
