Hey, some concerts are happening on this Thurs., Jan. 14. Take a look at the breakdown below...

The Everymen with Tattered Saints, Dru Cutler Though only active for about seven years, The Everymen have managed to firmly ensconce themselves in the indie rock consciousness, amping up their game with well-regarded 2014 full-length, Givin' Up on Free Jazz. Amid working on a follow-up, the Garden City quintet delivered a live album and an Under the Covers LP. The latter was released in honor of Cassette Store Day 2015 and showcases their spirited blend of sax-fused Jersey rock drive and soaring pop-hooky roots grit in re-imaginings of odes like “Beds Are Burning” by Midnight Oil, given an ominous tenor with surf-amped guitar and deep notes of saxophone, and Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right,” which finds the masculine-femme dueting of co-leads Catherine Herrick and Mike V soaring robustly over galloping instrumentals. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)

Nicki Parrott, Rossano Sportiello & Ed Metz The worldly jazz trio repped by Arbors Records – featuring sultry vocalist/upright bass stroker Parrott, originally from Australia, Italy-born piano-smith Sportiello and one-time Count Basie beat-keeper Metz tapping – returns for their annual Side Door presentation. (Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg)

John Nemeth He has a classic warm and soulful vocal quality, well-honed harmonica chops and a backing back that cradles his soaring solos with a tight foundation of shuffling and driving electric blues. Nemeth – who continues to tour behind his most recent release, 2014’s Memphis Grease– is currently celebrating a 2016 Blues Award nomination for BB King Entertainer of the Year, which suggests he has sound showmanship skills, too. (Ka'Tiki, Treasure Island)
