The week of Christmas has finally arrived and I couldn't be more excited. Those close to me are well aware of my love for the holiday and all that it encompasses. So naturally, I was eager to collaborate on a seasonal Tune-Up with my kick-ass editor, Leilani Polk. Together, we came up with 51 tunes that vary greatly from classic standards by Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Vince Guaraldi Trio and Andy Williams, to modern renderings, original holiday odes and winter-themed material by My Morning Jacket, Sufjan Stevens, The Shins and Iggy Pop, among others.The holidays can bring lots of joy and happiness, but it can also bring stress and melancholy as well. I sincerely hope you and yours enjoy the former in abundance and dodge the latter like a bad rash. We suggest jamming this playlist loudly to help spur those warm festive feelings.
