Don Williams Country Music Hall of Fame inductee since 2010 and the genre’s so-called “gentle giant” Don Williams has been dealing in twang and crooning in a rich bass-baritone since his early years with ‘60s-era folk-pop group the Pozo-Seco Singers. As a solo artist, he’s clocked 21 No. 1 singles on the Hot Country Songs charts since 1974’s "I Wouldn't Want to Live If You Didn't Love Me," though the artists who’ve covered Williams include a motley mix, among them, Lambchop (“I Believe in You”), Eric Clapton (“Tulsa Time”), and Tortoise with Bonnie "Prince" Billy (“Pancho”). GRiZ with Big Wild, Louie Lastic Detroit native DJ/producer/sax experimenter GRiZ (real name: Grant Kwiecinski) rolls through town on his “Super Shagadelic Tour,” serving healthy doses of his groove-hawking future funk, sample-strewn trip hop and boom-bap electro-soul, his fourth full-length, Say It Loud, in tow. Support from LA dance music maker Big Wild (which put out a bouncing remix of GRiZ the track Talib Kweli-featured track, “For the Love”) and Louie Lastic, who gets more glitchy and weird with his soulful productions.
