The quartet sold out the Local 662 the following year, and the sharp dressed musicians (led by soulful ball-of-exuberant energy, vocalist Ty Taylor) return to the more spacious State on this night to deliver the retrofied goods off third album 1 Hopeful Rd., with support from fine UK-born, NY-based singer-songwriter Greg Holden. Stray From The Path with Comeback Kid Stray From The Path crashes into town behind a brand new full length of seething metalcore and hardcore punk, Subliminal Criminals, politically-charged second single “Badge & A Bullet Part II” taking aim at the tension between civilians and law enforcement, the screamed refrain “Tell me which side are you walking on? / Trained to never trust us / Fuck them, no justice.” (Orpheum, Ybor City)
Nicoffeine with Jitters, Nude Tayne A loud and experimental bill of music as headed up by Nicoffeine, a three-piece out of Germany that ply dark, guitar-fuzzed-and-reverbed noise dosed in elements of Krautrock and seething psychedelia. (The Venture Compound, St. Petersburg)
