El Ten Eleven with Sego Southern California duo El Ten Eleven makes post-rock more than accessible — using an array of uncommon instrumentation along with electro touches and loops, the duo creates infectious, immersive soundscapes more substantial than their immediately catchy elements (and the number of people creating them) might imply. Cinephiles might also know the group’s work through songs used in several of filmmaker Gary Hustwit’s documentaries, like Helvetica. Another genre-transcending Cali twosome, L.A.'s Sego, provides tour support. (Crowbar, Ybor City) —Scott Harrell
Lil Durk with GunPlay, Hypno Carlito Chicago-bred Lil Durk signed to Def Jam a few years back but only just released his full-length debut, Remember My Name, in June, its contents a mix of grit (mostly in the subject matter) and slickness (the production and AutoTune). Oliver Heldens Oliver Heldens is a protégé of sorts to Tiësto, who signed the Dutch house/bass music producer to his Magik Muzik imprint (a sub-label of Black Hole Recordings) after hearing 2013 track, “Gecko.” He’s not real big here yet – his highest charters have been in the UK – but he’s primed to make a splash with this Ybor date and remixes of tracks like Disclosure’s “Latch” and “Outside” by Calvin Harris (featuring Ellie Goulding).
