There once was a Tampa Bay band named Marksmen that drummed up a rather mighty buzz, got discovered by Say Anything's Max Bemis, and signed to his Equal Vision Records imprint, Rory Records, after claiming a fresh new name: Tallhart.
'Course, the new branding and label inking came with its own set of problems that seemed to start when drummer Reed Murray was fired along with manager Brent Cayson. After months of inactivity, an official breakup announcement came via Facebook last summer: "Tallhart is dead. #RIPTallhart ... Can't thank you all enough for your support over the years. We love each and every one of you. Keep an eye out for future projects."
While the end of Tallhart didn't come as much of a surprise, it did leave folks like myself wondering what exactly happened. In the eighth episode of his podcast series, This Is Everything, CL's own Daniel Cura gets to the bottom of it with Tallhart former/Goodnight Neverland current guitarist Chris "Boomer" Brickman.
